Caroline was aged only
15 when she gave birth to her son Richard.
From the Census
returns of 1851 her parents were looking after Richard.
In 1851 Caroline was
employed as a Servant in Coventry by a Trimmings
manufacturer.
She married Mathew
Ward at age 23 in Newbold,
.
at age 24 she gave
birth to Joseph and David? Twins?
David dies,he was aged only
3 years. Caroline was just 27.
At age 27 she gave
birth to Mary Elizabeth,
At age 29 she gave
birth to Sarah
At age 30 she gives
birth to Louisa
At age 32 she gives
birth to Daniel From age 23 to 32 just nine years
married life she has 6 children. That is only 108
months, so it takes 9 months to give birth, therefore
she had only 27 months of these years without being
pregnant.
At age 34 Sarah dies, the
child is just 5 years old
At age 34 she gives
birth to Caroline
At age 37 she gives
birth to Ann her last child.
14 years have elapsed
since her marriage to Mathew.
At age 49 Caroline
dies. It appears to me that she had a hard life.
Caroline was spared
the death of her son Daniel in 1880, as she herself died
one year earlier in 1879.
