These are sad images. These have been taken over the past 12 months and are only a small example of the real amount we have collected. I regularly collect line, hooks tackle, batteries left on the waterside. I take no pleasure from displaying these images. I do this to highlight the need for more control over who fishes at this reserve. The current arrangement does not police the activities of visiting anglers who bring the sport into disrepute. These are only a few examples of the filthy disgraceful anti social behaviour displayed by these "sportsmen". The subject is covered in more detail on the page A Reserve is a place that gives priority to the wildlife living within their own habitat. I do not see that happening here. I have never fished at Chard or for that matter any freshwater. Most of my angling experience is at the Coast. West Bexington, West Bay, Lyme Regis. The only things left behind were our footprints. We didn't go there to get drunk, eat junk food, light fires and scatter litter. |
These are just a few examples of the litter left by the anglers at Chard Reservoir Nature Reserve If you bring it take it home! |
